The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examinations body approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium of ten (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.
The board has the responsibility of conducting common and standard examinations for the candidates, who have been exposed to a minimum of one-year approved courses in the different Universities’ Foundation and/or Diploma Programmes and are seeking Direct Entry admissions into University courses at the 200 Level in Nigerian and partnering foreign universities.
The goal of JUPEB program is to facilitate Direct Entry admissions into various University courses globally by conducting credible examinations for candidates taught on a qualitative and well-balanced curriculum.
JUPEB provides another platform for providing access to tertiary education. Thousands of students apply and sit for UTME yearly but only a few are successful in securing admission into Nigeria universities. Most of these candidates who fail to secure admission reapply in subsequent years thereby worsening the admission burden in Nigerian Universities. The worst dilemma is that UTME result is only valid for one (1) year, as against the JUPEB result which has no expiry date.
Applicants must pass five subjects at credit level at not more than two sittings in the SSCE/GCE organized by WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and should include the major subjects of study.
Candidates who are expecting the release of their ‘O’ level results can also apply by indicating their “Awaiting Result” status appropriately ONLINE.
The programme is for a duration of 9 month divided into two semesters and the programme is open to all interested candidate nationwide. The venue of the programme depends on the candidates choice during registration.
Early registration is advisable for candidates who want to choose a particular centre as preferred state of study may not be available for students who apply late.
JUPEB fees ranges from #250,000 to #300,000 depending on your preffered study location.
Kindly call any of the numbers below to confirm the amount for your preferred Location.
